Early-Career Researchers from Developing Countries: University of Konstanz ZUKOnnect Fellowships 2024

 Early career researchers from Latin America, Africa, and Asia who are affiliated with one of the thirteen departments of the University of Konstanz are supported by the Zukunftskolleg Konnect Fellowships. You can use this time as a ZUKOnnect Fellow to broaden your research networks and familiarize yourself with the University of Konstanz's research environment without severing your connections to your home university. We particularly encourage final-year PhD students to apply, as these scholarships can serve as a first step toward integration into the German and European academic systems. ZUKOnnect Fellows will not be offered employment contracts by the Zukunftskolleg.

In order to help the ZUKOnnect Fellows settle into their departments and provide assistance throughout their research stay, they will collaborate with Zukunftskolleg Fellows. Consequently, in spite of their brief stay, the ZUKOnnect Fellows will play a crucial role in the Zukunftskolleg community. Additionally, the intercultural exchange will be very beneficial to Zukunftskolleg Fellows.

Purpose and Advantages of ZUKOnnect Awards

The Zukunftskolleg's programs, library materials, IT services, and research assistance services (via Research assistance) are all accessible.

Fellows of ZUKOnnect can continue to be affiliated with the organization for an extra six months with a digital fellowship following their research stay at Zukunftskolleg.

Requirements for researchers who are visiting

During the ZUKOnnect Fellowship, you will reside in Konstanz or a nearby area; assistance with all organizational aspects of moving to Konstanz will be provided by the University of Konstanz's Welcome Center.

Throughout the semester, at the weekly Jour Fixe sessions at the Zukunftskolleg, you will actively participate in the multidisciplinary conversation.
