International Students: UNESCO 2023 Silk Roads Youth Research Grants

 The National Commission of the People's Republic of China for UNESCO sponsors the UNESCO Silk Roads Youth Research Grant, which was first introduced in 2021 and is organized within the UNESCO Silk Roads Programme in the context of the UNESCO Social and Human Sciences Programme.



Young people under 35 are encouraged to apply for the 2023 Silk Roads Youth Research Grant, according to UNESCO. The goal of the grant is to encourage young scholars to carry out additional research on the cultural legacy of the Silk Roads.

The purpose and advantages of the UNESCO Silk Roads Youth Research Grants

Each research project will receive one of twelve scholarships worth $10,000. 

Conditions for UNESCO Youth Research Grants on the Silk Roads Qualification

Candidates must be 35 years of age or younger.

The applicant must be interested in postgraduate research in one of the following areas: economy and trade, religion and spirituality, language and literature, arts and music, traditional sports and games, science and technology and traditional knowledge, or legacy and contemporary issues of the Silk Roads.

Date, procedure, and location for the UNESCO Silk Roads Youth Research Grants interviews

The submission date for ideas is May 31, 2023. 

A scientific panel made up of eminent worldwide academics will assess the submitted research projects. 

In October 2023, a list of grant recipients will be made public.
